Word of the Day #8: Austere

I can't believe a word can have that many meanings, but this word "austere" has many meanings. The meaning I'll write down will be the one I'll use most frequently.

Pronounced: aw-steer

Meaning: lacking of ornament, grave, solemn.

Example sentence:
The was were no artifacts, no enchantments and no creatures, making his board feel austere.
